What's for Dinner!!???

Tonight we asked Emmary what she wanted for dinner. Her answer- "I want poopoo for dinner!" I said (hoping I had somehow misheard) "What??? What did you say you wanted for dinner?" And in an even louder voice, she said very clearly that she wanted poopoo for dinner. We have yet to figure out where that came from or why she even thought of that. And how do you respond to something like that, without giving it too much attention? Well, Gordon, always thinking on his feet- said, "Okay- we will get you poopoo for dinner, and started heading for the bathroom." Emmary totally freaked out, started crying, and said, "No, no, no, please, I don't want poopoo for dinner- I was just kidding- I want pizza!" Well, hopefully we didn't scar her for life over it, and hopefully she won't say it again. Gordon very kindly told me later that she must have been talking about the chicken I made the other night.

Emmary's Favorite Book

One of Emmary's most favorite books right now is Pinkalicious. It is about a girl who eats too many pink cupcakes and turns pink. Emmary says "That is so pinkalicious!!" to anything that she thinks is, well, pinkalicious. We went to Books-a-Million yesterday and discovered a new book- Purpalicious. We will probably have to get that book soon. Emmary says purple is Ellasen's favorite color.

Beauty Shop

Friday is my day "off." My mom has off every Friday, so the girls and I get to hang out with her and my sister. Today Emmary got into my sister's room and found her "beauty shop." So we spent the morning putting on lotion, painting toenails, and getting "makeovers." The fun part is when it is Emmary's turn to be the beauty salon girl and it is your turn for an "appointment."

Sing Along

Emmary is very into music and singing right now. She has started singing about every little thought and happening lately. This morning she was getting her clothes on to go play outside and started singing a little song to "Mary Had a Little Lamb:"

I hope there is not a spider in my playhouse, a spider in my playhouse, a spider in my playhouse. I hope there is not a spider in my playhouse,'cause they scare me!
If I see that spider, see that spider, see that spider, I will run away.

Thankfully, there was not a spider and we were able to play for a little while.

The First Post

This is my first attempt at journaling the funsome moments of our family. I have always loved keeping a journal and I hope that this will serve as a great way to remember all the funny little things the girls are doing. I have already missed writing so much down- I hope I will be able to keep up with posting so we will be able to tell them all their nuances in the future.
